This information was condensed from booklets which are available from the ekklesia.

Each of the booklets above are short essays (12 pages) covering the same subject from different perspectives. They are written as simply as possible but with multiple references in order to share and bare witness to the beliefs and perceptions of the author. These booklets assume that the reader is capable of understanding two basic principles.
1. "It is hardly possible to find two words having in all respects the same meaning. It is of the utmost consequence that strict accuracy should regulate our use of language, and that everyone should acquire the power and habit of expressing his thoughts with perspicuity and correctness." (Roget's International Thesaurus, Intro. X)
2. There is almost no words in any language that has only one meaning and therefore when translating from one document to another a great latitude is often exercised by the translators. Even if they make a sincere and valiant attempt at accuracy it is always encouraged to examine the origin of a thing.

"A distinction must be observed between the regulation of an activity which may be engaged in as a matter of right and one carried on by government sufferance or permission. In the latter case the power to exclude altogether generally includes the lesser power to condition and may justify a degree of regulation not admissible in the former." (Davis v Massachusetts, 167 US 43.)
