stated that computer crashes are not the only threat to military
and civilian systems come the year 2000. Government scientists
and Air Force experts have concluded that violent
electromagnetic solar storms, in the form of
CME's and Coronal holes, could wreak havoc on all electronic systems.
Most major, transient disturbances in near-Earth space are
produced by solar events
known as coronal mass ejection (CMEs), which involve the
ejection of billions of tons of
solar material into space. Much of this material is in the
fourth state of matter known as plasma. Many CMEs, including
some of the more spectacular ones, erupt from regions well away
from sunspots and any apparent flaring activity. CMEs probably
result more from changes in the large-scale magnetic field that
permeates the solar corona.

The explosive event was "a real planet-buster", according to

Cycle 23 "will be one of the largest on record, and comparable to the last two solar cycles", says a panel of international experts chaired by Jo Ann Joselyn of the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Space Environment Center in Boulder, Colorado. They warn that the sunspot number could reach 190, peaking sometime between June this year and January 2001. From New Scientist, 27 February 1999
As of September of 1999 the number of Sunspots had exceeded 225.
On the 11th of November 1999 the sunspot count reached 343. Keep in mind this is seven or more months prior to the expected Solar Maximum.

The director of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Space Environment Center in Boulder, Colorado, Ernie Hildner, stated "We're going to have a huge storm (about) Jan. 1, 2000, so people won't know what to blame it on." Solar and geomagnetic events such as ion bombardments and explosions on the surface of the sun can damage or knock out satellite transmissions, hamper navigation systems, cut electric power and bring down telephone systems.
Both Canadian and Scottish officials have come out and stated that they are more concerned with the events on the sun than Y2K. Only recently have some comments escaped into the back pages of the media.

A DEMONSTRATION OF THE POWER OF A CME.
NASA's recent report, Nov. 21 through 24, 1997 from plutonium
powered Ulysses satellite noted that the phenomenon, first
reported by TRW observatory circa January 12, 1962 had since
1991, when the outer mantle finished blowing off and the
diameter was 200 miles less in diameter, begun to swell. The sun
is NOW a HELIUM STAR (NO MORE H2) and that there are NO
poles--just total instability.
Everything in the universe is subject to cause and effect. The
loss of a stable magnetic field, the violent explosions on the
surface and the swelling of the entire star are the results of a
number of changes in, to and near the sun.

The flow of energy and material as the Solar wind arrives at
Earth in massive waves of energy. Weather rings appear during this time.
All though these rings are not actually there but appear only as radar
annamollies under certain condition major storm insue from the area of
the rings. This was reported to me by men how have spent their professional lives
watching these satellite feeds and major storms and hurricanes beginning
after the appearance of the rings. Something is happening that changes the way
this radar reads and produces its image in these areas.

The latest solar cycle-Cycle
23-is expected to reach its maximum strength around the year 2000, far surpassing the strength of its predecessor.
Satalites have been knocked out numerous times
During a solar storm, energized electrons race around the Earth, creating uneven buildups of negative and positive charges on satellites. The fluctuations can affect the performance of circuits within the satellites. A solar eruption in 1995, for instance, disrupted the operations of NOAA's Geostationary Operational
Environmental Satellites.
Power disruption
Geomagnetically induced current from space weather can be picked
up by power lines and disable transformers. Solar Cycle
22 in 1989 left more than 6 million people in Quebec, Canada, without electric power for 12 hours.
Oil pipe lines can be subject also because of sensors and
increased corrosion.
CATACLYSMIC CHANGES
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first
heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no

A far more important effect is the increase of activity in the
geometric core structure of the planet as energy enters at the
polar cusps. This leads to fusion and the creation of new
matter, Electromagnetic pulses as well as more heat and pressure
causing a chain reaction of cataclysmic transmogrify.
We are partially shielded by our planet's magnetic field from
these effects as a shielded distorted cavity is formed, the
magnetosphere. Normally the closest the solar wind penetrates
towards the Earth is about 10-11 RE (Earth radii), or some
40,000 miles, on the side of the cavity facing the Sun.
On March 24, 1991 a significant CME traveling at 5 times the
speed of the solar wind struck the magnetosphere. The data from
space probe Ulysses suggested the boundary was within 4 RE of
the Earth's center, and that the impact also created a second
shock wave inside the cavity, spreading throughout the
magnetosphere.
The research spacecraft CRRES, operated by the US Air Force was
at that instant deep inside the radiation belt, at a distance of
2.55 RE. The first thing CRRES saw was a torrent of highly
energetic protons and electrons. The protons had energies above
20 Mev, twenty million electron volts, some 20,000 times the
energy of the average proton in the solar wind. The passage of
the shock also left Earth with a new long-lived belt of
high-energy protons.
Killer electrons
Satellites, such as when Galaxy IV failed last May, brought
down communications networks and put 45 million pagers out of
action. It is known that the culprit has been the Sun.
"Dan Baker, director of the Laboratory for Atmospheric and
Space Physics at the University of Colorado in Boulder, and his
colleagues have studied the solar weather conditions that
existed at the time of the failure. They found that a large
number of high-energy electrons had become trapped in the
Earth's magnetosphere in the two-week period before the
satellite failed, as a result of exceptionally stormy solar
weather. According to Baker, it was 'one of the most intense
periods that we've seen for the last two or three years'." From

These electrons with kinetic energies greater than a million
electron volts have been dubbed "killer electrons".
It is these high energy electron and proton belts that
eventually stimulate and fuel earth core fusion.
ALMOST INCONCEIVABLE CHANGES IN THE GEOMAGNETIC FIELD
THE STEENS MOUNTAIN CONUNDRUM
On September 22, 1998, the Sun ejected a mass of plasma toward
Earth. On September 24, it rammed into and compressed Earth's
magnetic shell in space to a point where some ions flowed
downwind of Earth. Dr. Thomas E. Moore of NASA's Goddard Space
Flight Center, principal investigator for Polar's Thermal Ion
Dynamics Experiment (TIDE) stated, "This solar wind energy
essentially cooks the atmosphere off of the Earth." [December 8
in San Francisco's. Meeting of the American Geophysical Union. ]
It creates Sprites and Elves, as they are called due to
the eerie light shows that they put on as they discharge volumes
of electrical charges into the upper atmosphere. Some of these
charges are dissipated through the common storm systems that we
see circling the earth but mostly over land..
This energy has other far reaching effects on Van Allen Belts,
South Atlantic Anomaly and the very core of planet Earth itself.
Hannes Alfven, winner of the 1970 Nobel Prize in Physics,
explains many of these processes in a branch of plasma physics
known as magneto hydrodynamics. This massive influx of energy
into the ionosphere, atmosphere and eventually into the molten
currents of magma beneath the lithosphere in such an excited
state begins to charge the inner furnace of Earth's own atomic
engines. This leads to a heating of the Asthenosphere and a
moving of the hard mantel plates producing massive earthquakes
and volcanic activity.

No dynamo mechanism has ever been found to explain the
postulated energy inputs needed to sustain the field. The
measured field appears to be decreasing exponentially with a
half life of only a few thousand years. The reversals before the
current epoch certainly seem to be real---see Russ Humphries'
article in latest CRSQ for recent discussion of field reversals
in the past. The early work of Thomas Barnes on the decay of the
earth's field is perfectly credible even if his current work
concerning relativity seems less so.

After the earth began absorbing energy from the sun in the form

There are over 24 major volcanos active at this time through
ought the world. Just one of them can noticeably effect the
weather. Large numbers of them going off simultaneously could
block out the light of the sun, moon and stars. This would be
followed by a very cold period that could last years if not
interrupted by other major changes.
Many inactive volcanos and areas not even classified as
volcanos have began to show seismic activity rising nearer the
surface.

We had seen these anomollous weather rings before, more distinct.
We noted that they only lasted a short time and they did not
move with the surrounding weather patterns or with the wind and
jetstream, although after they occurred there was often an
extreme weather event in the path of the jet stream.

IF these radar anomallies are caused by local radar why do they appear across the
country at one particular time and often during solar events.
After the earth received the radiation from a series of C class CMEs stationary holes could be seen in weather patterns over Wisconsin. Following these rings hard hitting killing storms swept eastward across New England.

Letter to Stan Deyo
"I am a sailor. I own a 30 ft. full-keel sailboat on Lake Superior, and my wife and I have cruised the lake for 25 years. Last weekend, we anchored out on an island as we usually do at night. Around 9pm, a frontal system came blasting through. The thunderheads were everywhere, and it was moving at 45 kts. Lightning and thunder started at around 6:30pm, was continuous..literally continuous, until 9 AM the following morning!! That is 14.5 hrs. of continuous chain lightning/thunder, hail, and 5 1/2 in. of rain.
There was a microburst (fast moving downdraft off the top of a thunderhead..very cold in temperature) that blasted an area 80 miles long and 12 miles wide, flattening 250,000 acres of prime northern woods..an area known in the states as the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (a protected area of northern woods in which we have backpacked and canoed for 2 weeks at a time without seeing another human being). There were 2-3000 visitors in the BWCA when this storm hit. There are still 1000 cars at the various trail heads in the woods. This means that there at least 1000 people that have not made it out of the woods yet. A helicopter flew over some of the area, and it was devastation..unbelievable. 3 ft. diameter trees laying flat on top of a tent indicate to me that someone may have been hurt..and that is the most common sight..or canoes bent in a U shape around tree trunks.. these folks cannot get out without swimming across many lakes and then hiking without benefit of trails or markers of any kind. Potentially this could be very deadly. The Dept of Natural Resources is saying that 10 million trees were lost in this area of the BWCA!
The point to this is that this storm was a new breed of storm. The lightning, as I observed it all night long while standing anchor watch (against our anchor pulling loose and allowing our boat to go ashore and be destroyed), was mainly cloud to cloud..very few cloud to ground strikes. But the continuous nature of it is what really set off alarms. It was very eerie.
People *are* beginning to get the idea that our paradigm has shifted, and that something is wrong. Comments I heard after regaining the safety of our dock, included worst storm ever experienced, most unusual thunder ever heard etc.
Keep up the good work with your warnings about the weather. Personally, I find this scary, fascinating and exciting all in one breath. I expect that fear will also become a component as the events get more dramatic.

If Solar Max produces 500+ CMEs, a force that will move space, these weather disturbances will multiply unlike anything since the Flood of Noah. Or is there something else pushing these solar cycles that is still on the horizon of our perception?
