Steen's 1997 Xmas Newsletter

We've lived our usual rather dull life this last year here in Florence, and loved it.  Instead of a vacation, we had our house resided.  It was not with any more LP siding, and Louisiana Pacific paid almost half the cost.

I quit commuting to Coos Bay to teach, so am closer to retirement.  I still consult, though the only advertising I do is on my web page called Steen's Stuff.    If you aren't a family member or personal friend, you must stop reading this now, and go to that page instead.

Both Averill and I spend a lot of time volunteering with the Florence Area Humane Society.  That's where I end up doing most of my computer work, as the only computer person.

That's enough for this year.  Happy holidays.

Well, even though this is entitled a newsletter, there is very little news.

So it's a bit late for a Xmas newsletter for this year, but I only decided to do this on Xmas day itself.

All the Xmas pictures here were taken on Xmas.

Here you see me with gift Santa hat and still wrapped tool for cutting down those high up branches.  The hat covers hair the same color as my beard.

The "gift" will let me cut branches on some of our taller pine trees, we hope.

Steen with silly grin and silly Santa hat

Averill with the latest style in hats Averill has a nice new jester hat, and we just woke up Toby Go Away

Smells good! Forgot to use the flash on these two.  As you can see though the window, we did not have a white Christmas.

Here's Averill with garbage gut (aka Toby)

Tastes good too.

 Enough already, take me back
